The well is deep.It's six-fifteen and I'm sitting on a stool, leaning on a counter, staring out a window, making time go by, by just existing. The words are tumbling in my head like clothes in the dryer and I'm rolling them around in my mouth to try out the taste. My ribs ache and groan against the pressure being put on them by the oversized heart beating behind them. My feet are swinging, dangling from too short legs and once cuffed jeans. Partially concealed by my coat my fingers twist around a paper mug, one of them encased by a darkly colored mood ring who defies the fact that I am not in a dark mood and just decides to be that color anyway.The well is deep.
